What to Do!

So!  How about the world these days?  Anyone?

Okay, so maybe I'm in a weird mood.  Sephiroth tried to destroy us all... Isn't that a riot?

I escaped with some small cuts... except for my eye.  My right eye is gone, but suddenly I feel....... calm!  I've never felt so okay with things.

I get it now!  It all makes sense!  Sephiroth... trying to free us from what we've resigned ourselves to... has succeeded!

It's all good news now.  So, once I get the hang of this whole depth-perception-shift-thing... Life will be better than ever!

Jecht!  I'm working for you!  Any objections?  I wouldn't think so, as I am sensational, but I suppose you DO have the ultimate say!

(OOC: I'm not planning on playing more as Mira for now, but hopefully I'll be able to place her with Jecht.)

Blitzing Destruction!

The second semi-final match has come and gone!  "No-surprise" Loveless faced the "Who saw that coming" Mad Experiments.  Who's going to the consolation match and who's in the finals?  Read on to find out!

Right from the get-go, when Hojo made an abysmal pass, Loveless had control of the ball.  The ball seemed to gravitate to Lightning one way or another, which is never a good thing for opposing teams.  Even Refia, who seems to be the only marginally competent player on The Mad Experiments, couldn't hold Lightning off forever, and a minute and twenty-four seconds in, Loveless's one offensive threat put a shot through Yang's arms and into the goal.

Hojo took the ball, but immediately lost control again.  What a pitiful display of blitzball!  Really, now.  From there, it was a string of passes from Sabin to Terra to Sabin to Lightning that drew Refia out of the way and left Gast and Yang to defend against her powerful shot.  As we all know, such a turn of events never ends well, and this instance was no exception.  Less than a minute after their first goal, Loveless's lead raised to 2-0.

The two minutes following the second goal were surprising, because The Mad Experiments kicked into gear.  Most teams can't even keep the ball against Loveless, but, after a string of possession swaps, aggressive play by Refia and her supporting crew, Hojo finally got ahold of the ball (on a well-placed throw by Refia) and went for the goal.  Perhaps Vivi was busy casting protect (that's gotta be how he's so good!) or something, but the ball sailed right passed him, and we had a game on our hands!

The Experiments were suddenly on the offensive and grabbed the ball at every turn.  Unfortunately for them, there just wasn't enough time for them to capitalize on their momentum, and they went into the half trailing, 1 to 2.

The second half saw a diminished surge on behalf of TME.  They were eager to keep up the tempo of the last three minutes of the first half, but they didn't quite have the coordination.  Things finally got out of hand when Sabin yanked the ball from Refia and got it to Genesis, who tossed it down to Lightning, who had had the time to cherry-pick a perfect position.  Yang wasn't even close to the ball, and Lightning had her hat-trick 49 seconds into the second half.

Hojo immediately dropped the ball to Sabin again, but Gast and Firion double-teamed him and Firion took the ball away.  It was all in vain, however, as Firion's pass was immediately scarfed up by Genesis.  Genesis threw it to Sabin, who saw Lightning open again.  Lightning caught the ball, spun around a defender, and blasted it into the goal only 31 seconds after her previous goal.

It was now 4-1, and Hojo was still proving that scientists don't always make the best athletes, as Sabin wrestled the ball from him easily.  No one could stop Sabin, but after a series of passes, Refia finally caught Genesis's lob pass.  The ball bounced around a bit until Firion grabbed it and tried to shoot, but to no avail.  Gast got in a shot, too, but Vivi was solid.  After three minutes of back and forth, a failed effort by both Lightning and Gast, the ball got back to Lightning, who shook off Refia and got her fifth goal with forty-three seconds left in the game.

To their credit, The Mad Experiments never gave up and continued to struggle even beyond the final buzzer, but they were simply no match for the offensive onslaught of Lightning.  Hojo wrestled the ball out at the end and threw it down, frustratedly, as the game was over.

Not that anyone's surprised, but Loveless obliterated the hard-working Mad Experiments, 5-1.  TME put in a good fight, but their best wasn't even slightly good enough.

Goals:

Lightning: 5

Hojo: 1

Tomorrow night is the consolation match between the Sublimely Magnificent 7 and The Mad Experiments, and the final match should be on Friday!  The final placings are going to be quite interesting, I think!  Keep tuned to blitzball... or else!

All-Star Game (Better Name Pending)!

So, with Blank's stats now much more comprehensive than they used to be, I would like to propose an All-Star game at the end of the blitzball season!  The two coaches with the best team record will be selected and given the ability to make their teams out of the top two players in each position.  The coach with the better record gets first pick.  Once all of the top players have been chosen and assembled into two teams, let the games commence!  Also, perhaps making this special game twice or 1.5 times longer than normal would be an optional addition to its awesomeness... What do you all think?

Well!?

I know I'm off on a quest, but I need to say this:

You're dead-weight and a failure.  You curse our clan.  I'm kicking you out.

Best of luck in the Chocobo Races and such.

A New Part of a New Plan

Well, it looks like it's time to find a new place...

...For myself, Zorn, and Thorn.  Between the two of them, they have so little money, it's ridiculous!  With that in mind, I'm offering to put them up at my place, which I hope to be Unit 7 of Cetra's Garden.  With Thorn's monetary contribution, we'll just be able to live there, so I think it should be fine.  Zorn better get himself a job again one day...

Boy... (Not for Z&T) )
In other news, Mr. Sephiroth's been gone for a day and such for his wind quest, so I'm manning the book store!  I'm excited, 'cause I know I'm gonna do a good job!  First order of business... restocking, as always... Second thing... I have to place the orders... Should be good experience getting to do this again!

Ah, Life...

So, I handed my Beginning pamphlet to Blank today to feed to his chocobo.  I sure hope that little bugger at least comes in second... I do like being right, after all.  Anyway, I'm getting a little tired of being cramped up with all these people, but at least I've got my *cough* loyal subject *cough* Thorn following me around.  He's great - I get the feeling that he'd do my bidding at any juncture... Huahahahaha!

Well, that's enough of that.  In other news, I can't say I'm not a little apprehensive about the whole job-shift that's going to be taking place... I don't know how much Mr. Sephiroth really likes me, and I don't want to be fired.  Further, I need to work full-time, otherwise I just won't have enough money to live on.

Oh, life... if only you were as easy and delicious as the cereal...

OOC to BOB: Have you decided on all the new apartments yet?  If not, perhaps you consider The Flying Tower from My Life as a Darklord - it'd be a great place to live!  :)

You're doing great... for the most part!  Booyaka!  Erm, right... ...But SOME of you need to pull your weight a little more... *cough* Blank *cough*.

Perhaps getting a Chocobo will spice up your life a little, eh?  Or maybe DOING sometihng around the place? I sound upset, but I'm really in QUITE A ROLLICKING GOOD MOOD!  CHIME AND THORN are ROCKING IT!

Hey, folks! I'm on my way back! Don't expect me much yet, but I'm now at the thirteen day mark... AKA my finals end on the 18th and then I'll be headed HOME!

I may actually be getting into the holiday spirit... who knows? Woo! Mira helps!

I downloaded the 'WAD' package files for the two WiiWare 'My Life as a...' games and have just started (today) running them with the Dolphin emulator... sa-wheat! Simple, but addicting and fun! I've naturally started with Mira's game though, even though it's technically the second game... I beat up Chime earlier - 'twas fun! I'd suggest following a similar path to check it out if you like strategic, tower-defensey things... if you want the files without the hassle of tracking them down, I could certainly upload them...

In other news, I'm also Finally getting to play VI! I'm so excited! I'm in the World of Ruin - it's a great game!!!

"Don't tease the octopus, kids!"

And with that... it's tired in here. Later, folks!

DO I GET A TROPHY!? IF NOT, I'LL JUST MAKE MY OWN TROPHY!

Out with the old, in with the new, I say!  Chime's done poorly with her team, and even if that WASN'T the case, she and I had a betting contest on the last few chocobo races, and we all know how that turned out, eh?  The point is, I'm taking over The Odd Hats!

Effective immediately:
Blank
Faris
Frimelda
Llednar...

You're all fired.  Get off my team.

I've already got my eyes set on Edgar, Wedge the Xth, and Verdot, but any of you other players can certainly apply to join... No guarantees, though...

Anyway... TREMBLE IN FEAR!  THE TONBERRIANS ARE HERE!!!

YES!  FREE!  Let's get the bleep out of this rotten Rotting Pizza store!  I've smelled better dog food - really!

Ah yes, and there's the amusing matter of Blank - I'd better help Chime with him...

But trust me, my use for the key is a lot better.  I think we're wired or something, 'cause I was gonna say more about it, but I felt a strange and strangely familiar electrical sensation... much like when I'm about to be shocked.  Rest assured, though... my idea for using the key just makes a lot more sense!

A Little Bit of RAGE!

So, I'm stuck in The Rotting Pizza with Chime - we were going to get some food when *BAM!*  The doors were locked and the camera became fixed on them.  Can't someone get us out!?

In other news, there's this... Key that I have - or, um... that WE have... But I want to use it for something different than what Chime does... In any case, it doesn't get us out of here... We tried that already

When we catch up to that Dr. Cid, he's in for a WORLD of HURT - he came on the intercom a little while ago and said, "ah-ah-ah, girls... don't you go telling people what your key can do, or else..." and then there was a click and we both got SHOCKED!  SEVERELY!  GrrrrRRRRAHHHHH!  I can't wait to savage that bastard!  I'll tear him limb from limb or, if need be, I'll blast him with my powerful magicks!

On top of everything, there's this incessant string of Strange Noises coming from below us... I don't know what they are, but they REALLY make me creeped out!  Gahhh - no offense, Chime, but I want to get the HELL outta here!

Plus, your idea for using the key is completely wrong - what good will that do when my idea will help everyone even more!?

My friendship with Chime is one of the strangest things I've ever personally seen the effects of Chaos cause - nonetheless, it really is good to have someone to talk to about stuff around here - especially if that someone is the only recognizable person who came from the same land as you... and that's Chime.

Anyway, we've been chatting a lot and I appreciate her input on the whole 'hair' thing... or should I say 'hairless'?  I guess it doesn't matter...  Chime says that when it grows back, I'll love it all the more, which is true... but she didn't quite realize that much of my flair and passion is intrinsically tied to my hair - it's as if they are two branches on the same tree... or something.  Don't bother me, I don't know what I'm talking about right now...

Chime and I make a great team!  I can't believe I didn't think of this before... although I doubt she'd be so receptive on other ocasions!

*SMACK THAT TALK!*  That's NOT the Point!

The point is we've trashed a couple of gang houses in the nearby towns and I even stole a lawn mower!  I know it's not Moog style, but I think even THEY'd agree that doing so brings a great deal of harm to a great deal of people!

HAHAHA!

Furthermore, I totally Busted Up a Strawbux yesterday!  It was AWESOME!

---

In other news, it was hard at first, but a job's important!  I realized that if I left the proximity of customers for a minute when that indellible urge to smack someone arose, the desire would filter down and I'd go back to work ('cept one time, when I kicked a kid's ice creamcone out of his hand!  Hahahahaha!)

And LAUGH!

Mister Sephiroth - I know better than to cross you as a gang member, so I'm asking your opinion - should I take a forced leave until this is over with?  Y'know... 'cause I just want to SMASH into people and PUNCH someone in the face!

I imagine that the audience at home (that would be you, fellow-Mallgoers!) must be thinking, "I wonder what quaint story Mira has about how she managed to get passed the dwarves?"  Well, I thought about talking to Kuja, but his method of getting in revealed his true, rash nature of doing things... it's just so... wanton... How's he ever going to successfully rule over all like that?  I don't know, but what a turn-off!  Anyway, I decided to play up my two 'personalities' (they're more just like ways of thinking) when I went up to the dwarves.  It took some good acting, too!  Who knew I was good at that on top of everything else!?  Heh.  Well, yeah - so I went up, dressed in my dual-themed garb, and acted as if I was talking to myself.  The dwarves, intrigued by my method of talking, progressed the situation into the following dialogue:

Dwarf 1: Rally ho!  Who there are you talking to?
Me: I'm talking to my soul mate, of course!
Dwarf 2: Lalli ho!  Whatever do you mean?

Me: She means we're so inseparable, we've formed one entity... of red-hot passion!  So red-hot, it melted us together!
(At this point, the guards showed visible perspiration, presumably contemplating the scenario I was describing/embellishing.)
Me: Well, that's a little bit of an exaggeration... I mean, we're married to one another, but it's not like we-
Me: Nonsense!  Unquenchable passion is nothing to be ashamed of!  Right, you two?  You two definitely want to stand on that bridge-thing together, don't you?
Dwarf 2: Uh... Move along now.
Dwarf 1: Yeah... You're all clear!  ...Rally ho!

So, I'm in the mall.  Nothing really new to report.  Work's been going smoothly with Mr. Sephiroth back - I have less to do - it's almost dull by contrast, but it's always fun to help folks find the books they're looking for...

Ah, yes - one last thing - the Blitz League is coming up!  I'm really excited!  Excited, that is, to crush those who try to oppose us!

Irrationality -> Anger

  • Aug. 11th, 2009 at 4:09 AM
dark
Pesh.  Mr. Sephiroth comes back to Byblos Books, takes one look at how pristine and normal everything is (it's not like we didn't keep up sales!), holds up some printouts of my recent posts, and mouths off at me.  For what reasons?  Rrggg, they're so frustrating I can hardly recap them.

1. Referring to Squall as My Employee and the store as My Store - Everyone, myself included, likes to give Mr. Sephiroth what appears to be due credit for being smart, but how off-base can he be!?  As the store manager, even temporarily, the store was left in my care, employee management was left in my hands, and I was there to make sure things were properly taken care of!  In other words, for that span of time, Byblos was, for all intents and purposes, my store!  I know I don't own it - I know I can't hire or fire anyone, but all of that... it's MY responsibility, and I don't think I shoud be eviscerated for saying so!

2. My actions decresing the customer flow - If you take inventory, Mr. Sephiroth, you'll notice that we sold within our variable expected rate during my time as manager, and we had no influx of theft or "lost stock", as I believe it's called.  Just because you can walk up to people and stare at them for a split second and they will run off in nerves and fright doesn't mean I can!  You're more than a foot taller than me, are much more blatantly dangerous, and have established yourself as a 'household figure' of notoriety, so to speak.  No one knows me - if I did things the same way as you, they'd just laugh at me and go back to kicking your employee.

I don't know.  In general, Byblos remained as it always is - a solid store, and it seems a bit unreasonable to be chastised for it. Maybe Mr. Sephiroth is bothered that overall, things went smoothly in his absence or something, but I don't know.  I do know I couldn't decipher what he meant by that last part about hallucinating things, but that I'd do it if it made comprehensible sense.

And as for the possible raise.  Keep the damned money - I never wanted a bigger paycheck for doing you a favor anyway.

Fhh.

---

In other news (OOC: I wasn't around al weekend, hope this is an okay assumption, NS), Vivi set me up with my seraphite Hair clip.  Finally!

Hahahagrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Cultivated Flan...

So, the mall is flooded with a flan-like substance... which turns out to pretty much be flan!  Who'da thought?

Well, one of my innumerable gifts as a dark princess and supreme overlord is the ability to revitalize monsters from their basic states...

Needless to say, I was able to utilize my powers to bring some of the mall jelly to life!  Wahahahaha!

...Don't worry, though - I just wanted to see if I still 'had it'.  It's been a while since I've tried out some of my many, many powers.

Nothing to worry about.

Seriously.

Anyway, Byblos Books has been running smoothly.  After my example with those kids the other day, pranksters have been very minimal recently - they know I've got my eye on them...

Hm... Squall seems to be having more problems with reality recently, going so far as to say/threaten that he's going to perform an inquisition to eradicate all "unreal" people... I wonder where he places me in all of this?

RRrrrGHHHH!

  • Aug. 3rd, 2009 at 11:59 AM
dark
Somehow, I  managed to get trounced by Chime, who only had LEVEL ONE CARDS!  How does that HAPPEN!?  RRRRRRGHHHHHHH!  Beh, grah, rnnnn.... and then, having been put off my game by that, I went off and played Kuja and HE beat me, too!  What the hell IS this?  Fortunately, I used cards I had doubles of... Except the card CHIME stole!  She must've done something to Cheat me out of it!  Grah!  Blasphemous woman, she!  Argh!

Man, that's frustrating.  Fortunately, losing snapped me out of my card craze and I was able to make it back to Bybos Books right before my lunch break was over... To see a bunch of kids hovering over Squall, pointing and laughing at him... I'm pretty sure one or two of them tried to kick him, but that's the last thing I remembered for a minute - I went into fierce angry mode and got between them and him immediately, raised all my ire in a purple haze of fury and told them to "Get out of my store!!!"  Maybe it was my full-out intimidation... Maybe it was the errant fireball the came flying at me but ended up flaring right behind me and emphasizing my point, or maybe they realized it was futile to stay.  Nonetheless, they ran, and Squall rolled over and smothered the very small fire that had caught on the ground.  Thre's a small burn mark, but I already called someone, and it's gonna get taken care of.

Work's been otherwise quiet... But if those kids come back, I hope they know that they can't do bad things just 'cause Mister Sephiroth isn't here.

So Much to Think About...

  • Jul. 29th, 2009 at 11:43 AM

Well, as I was boasting about how awesome I was to Chime on my way back from lunch, POOF!  What should happen, but I turn into a Shumi!  Not just any Shumi, though... a Shumi as dark as my inner ambitions!  Well, kind of.  My skin is alternatingly striped between the standard yellow and dark yellow... I suppose the verdict is still out on whether or not I'm 'truly' evil... When's this place gonna catch on!?  Jeez!

Anyway, SeeD Speed's sending me mixed messages.  I'm definately part of the team... I think... but it's almost as if they don't want me to be.  Well, Quistis, anyway.  If Selphie feels the same, she's far too perky, energetic, and friendly to let on... What team would I take if SeeD Speed ditched me? (They'd be making a HUGE mistake!) I think the potentially strongest team I could join would be Chime's team, but I would have to take them over hostilely, and that certainly wouldn't help team cohesion.  In addition, it's Chime... ew...

Hmm.  Time will tell.

As for the book store, it's been going well.  We restocked everything yesterday, right before the whole transforming happened, so we didn't have to try to manage to sort things on the shelves with these overly-cumbersome hands...

Today, a group of smaller "shumi" came in, thinking they were sneaking in (hard to do when you're yellow and Giggling!  Huahahahaha!)... anyway, I slowly meandered up to them, saw that they were trying to steal books, and got REALLLLLY Angry!  I decided to not say anything right off the bat, but apparently, my anger did the trick!  My body color shifted to darker and darker yellow until it started to turn bluish-purple, and they dropped the books and ran!  Of course, I don't know who they were, but they will think twice about pulling that one again!

Lots to Do...

  • Jul. 24th, 2009 at 6:12 PM

So, Mister Sephiroth both gave me a temporary promotion of responsibilities and threatened my life!  He's such a flatterer!  Nonetheless, I'm going to have to keep on top of myself and not get carried away, instead channeling all of my energy into making Byblos Books run smoother than you could even imagine!  Whether it's keeping people orderly (they do like randomly 'mugging' me when they realize how awesome I am, being the great Mira of SeeD Speed and all...) or making sure everything is orderly and taken care of on the shelves, I'll do it!  He seems to enjoy testing my mettle... I don't think he thinks I can manage the place on my own...

...I'll prove it to him!

Hmm... but even if I do, I doubt he'll stop being so condescending... He is Sephiroth, after all.
And it's not like I could try doing something to him... I've researched a lot about him, and it would end poorly for all involved... He is Sephiroth, after all.

Well, that red and white jester fellow that's on Chime's team went off on one of his braggadocious blitzball odes - Kinda foolish if you ask me... for a loser to be sounding so high and mighty!!! - Hm... He did score a ton of goals though... maybe he's more impressive than I initially gave him credit for... oh!  And he worked for *Kuja* before, so he can't be all bad.  And by bad, I mean good, and by good, I mean weak.  Right, so perhaps I can convince him to return to his former ways and join me in my path OF DOMINATION!  Well, if not, at least I'll make sure to keep my eye on him when I enact my master plan.

Speaking of which, our final game in the tournament is coming up shortly - we're guaranteed at least second, but I want to show everyone how amazing we are!  It's a little hard to do so in the back row, but I'll still put in my absolute best!

Now where's this cake I've heard rumors about...

Well, I was silly to worry, but at least we finally proved how good we can be!  Ha!  We're guaranteed one of the top places in this tournament now... can't say the same about Chime's team yet... HAHAHA!  All you doubters - all you naysayers - be SILENCED!  We are on the domination train, and the next stop could be you!

Man, I love having my confidence up... So often, I am driven to doubt how good I really am just so I can keep on top of my actions more adequately... But this just proves how great I am!  I mean, sure, I couldn't have done so well without my team, but it doesn't make me less of a defensive genious!

I suppose my bruises from that dog and that vampyric fellow are humbling enough, though...

Now, all I need to do is figure out how to be a proactive rather than reactive force of evil!  If I become as good on the offensive as I am on the defensive... well, there'll be a new leader in the mall, at the very least!

Hmm...

Blitzing's coming once again... and soon!  We're slated to fight against The Guild, and something about them strikes me as off... Normally, I feel as though the destruction of my opponents is relatively assured, but this time... I don't know... They're just, off... something about them... off.

Speaking of Off, Chime's ludicrous team managed to actually win!  Ha!  What a laugh it will be if we get to play them... and destroy them!  Heh... It does feel good to be on top sometimes...

...Ugh.

If hell is a land that spawned such a vile creature as Don Corneo, I may very well get me to a nunnery... but not in the way Hamlet meant it... That'd be, y'know... kinda exactly the opposite of the point I'm trying to make -
Don Corneo is a totally disgusting, hideous slimeball, and I want to tear his liver out and shove it up his nasal passage!!! - Y'know... That's pretty accurate, even when I step back from my emotions a bit... Hm.

Well, I can hardly think about the date without Gagging, but seeing as I was labelled the 'I've Been Naughty' girl (I'll show him naughty when I KILL HIM!  Hmm, though... he might be into that... urk!), anytime he got within five feet of me, he made to spank me... oh....

...oh jeez.

...It's really the 'sweet nothings' he whispered in my ear that are making my stomach do misty flips.  Fortunately, there was a huge crash in the middle of his most racy passage when the chandelier came down, and so I missed that part.  I already felt like hurling in my mouth... He didn't even seem to notice, but just kept on going... I'm not even going to get into that...

Thank god he's leaving... I'm currently in the break room, recuperating, and- Oh, oh lord... Is that him!?  God... Gotta hide!

...

Well, it seems like he came in to get some soda - 'get' is a relative term: it was more like, 'pretend-to-look-for-money-for-a-second-before-smashing-in-the-machine-and-taking-a-bunch-of-red-bulls'.  I didn't even know there were Red Bulls in the soda machine... They're not one of the choices...

Well!  Look who's continuing the quest for mall domination one step at a time through Blitzball!  That's right,  ME!  Kuja went off on Mr. Cole, who really does seem to be a competent interviewer and person, about how much he's going to destroy everyone through blitzball and guess what happens?  SEED SPEED happens, that's what!  Not for Kuja... )  Nonetheless, I think I have to work on my passing skills a little bit more - that creep, Garland, had a beat on me the whole time and snatched up almost every pass I threw!  Fortunately, I cranked up my defensive prowess and stopped everything he did, too, so they countered.  At least I haven't let my hyped-up side get the better of me - it tends to cause me to make mistakes more often.  Something about the water or something...

Anyway, what am I talking about!?
SEED SPEED kicked ASS yet again!  Naysayers, beware - we're coming for YOU!  Ooh!  Another celebration?  Oh, Quistis - you're too much!  Try not to overdo the liquor this time, ma'am.

Hmm... We should really start cranking up our wins... One-point margins kinda cramp my style...

Go, ME!

And, y'know... GOOOOO, SeeD SPEED!

...ly good!  That's right, we've got our second match coming up against that pretty-boy-wannabe-dark-lord fellow Secret! (Not for Kuja) )...name of Kuja, I believe... Well, have no fear, Kuja - Destruction is here!  Hear ye, hear ye!  We're gonna blast you out of the Blitz Sphere!  Grarr!  ...Um, what was that about!?  Maybe I should rein it in a little more...

Work's going well, but I get out shortly so I can get ready for the Blitzball game!  It's going to be intense!

Go, ME!

Well, more specifically, GOOOOO, SeeD SPEED!

Destruction!

...Well, not entirely.  I was actualy not as on-point as I was in the last game (three shots that turned out to be harmless still managed to make it passed me! >_<).  but my teammates really stepped-up and we were able to edge out the returning champions!  SeeD Speed nay-sayers should look to this as proof of our abilities and cower!  ...Or at least be a bit wary, though I'll admit cowering would be a nice touch.  I feel good that we proved our worth right off the bat by beating a top-seeded team... I mean, really, we're the only ones who are a truly 'SeeD'ed team and are still in the competition.  Ha!  Imagine that!

In other news, some people have appeared at the store looking for autographs from Quistis and Sephiroth especially, but occasionally me!  I understand that the forwards get all the glory, so it doesn't really bother me, and I'm glad for the attention I do get!  It's also great for business!

Hey, Locke!  What's this about you thinkin' I'm insane?  I know right from wrong, and I'm certainly not off my rocker!

Everyone should read my Words of Glory in the most recent edition of Blitz Talk!  Just so they know what's coming to them!  ...Not to mention, it's a damn-fine interview, if I say so myself!  Our big rematch game is coming up soon against The Dark Knights - I want to do even better this time around - Destruction is at hand!!! - Well, maybe I should tone it down a little and hone my mind for the game!  That'll help!  Speaking of which, all went well at the store, Mister Sephiroth, though I'm sad to have missed your amazing feat in the Blitzball Sphere - I heard it was a sight to be seen!  Congratulations!  I look forward to playing against you one of these days!

...

...In other news, I took the free time I had manning an empty book store to peruse some data about this Don Corneo guy that's going to be hitting on not just me, but Mr. Sephiroth and Quistis, my co-workers, too!  Well, I'm slated to be the naughty one (I like to think of it more as "controlling"), so it'll fit right in with my personality if I do something to him should he waddle out of line (urk - just envisioning him makes me feel a little uneasy at times): If he steps out of line with me or my co-workers, I'll PULVERIZE them!  That's rational me speaking: I mean business.  And you know what I mean when I say "Them" - let's see how manly he feels after something like that!

skymira
Well, I'd like to think I upheld my part in fulfilling my boast - the ball only got through my hands once all night!  I felt so good, I needlessly kicked the ball in the direction of the opposing goal a few times, hoping my teammates would pick it up and run with it... Something was just a little off, though, 'cause our shots just weren't cutting it!  It can't have just been incompetence - our team is awesome!  It must have been something they ate.  I declined to eat anything at team breakfast with them, because my stomach was already churning and processing pure domination!  As I said, almost no ball got past me!  Just wait until the rematch!  Ha!  I'll continue to be crushing them on defense with my overwhelming powers!  ...Well, this gives me some time to analyze my opponents and more-thoroughly shut them down come the rematch... Just they wait!  Destruction is at hand!!!

...

...By the way, Mr. Sephiroth, is there anything in particular to take care of?  I've got a lot of energy right now, so let me know!

So, we will engage in the underwater fight with the Dark Knights this weekend... Some drunk and/or scizophrenic and/or ridiculous/emo guys and their attractive bartender/cook... Need I say more?  While I'm sure Feta... or was it Tiphoon or something?  Whatever - I'm sure she probably runs laps around the rest of those folks, but one player can be only so good, right?  I think.    We'll be crushing them beneath our overwhelming powers!  ...Hmm.  I think I need to work on my trash-talk.  It's a bit rusty.  Well, in other news, I guess we won't get to destroy Blank and Chime's team in Blitzball, 'cause we're in different brackets and, let's face it - they're not gonna make the finals.  Well, I guess... when I watch them get steamrolled, I can just laugh and imagine it's me crushing them beneath my overwhelming powers!   Oh, there I go again... I really need to work on the insults - there's this new guy with a scar on his head that seems to be pretty good at the whole bad-mouthing/intimidating busines... Maybe I'll talk to him about it...

I'm getting used to the Byblos Books experience.  It's interesting suddenly having to cater to everyone else's beck and call, but I can appreciate my tonberrian henchmen more than ever now.  They were good to me, even though they were often enough one big pain in the ass!  Tonbetty was always  reat to me, though... I miss her Supreme Ribbons of Dark and Divine Protection that she'd sew from any number of things I'd rather not think about - they always made me feel indestructible - immune to ill-befitting status - and in general, awesome.  Perhaps... Maybe I'll have to sink as low as to request some from Chime and 'Blank''s silly store... Perhaps they'll have a use after all...

Right!  So, I've been training hard in blitzball, and I know Quisty (Selphie insisted I call Coach Trepe that...) is busy, but I'd like some feedback from someone... I've never done this before, and while I could probably destroy an entire team single-handedly, I'd hate to suddenly fail miserably because no one told me what to do.  Certainly wouldn't be my fault, though.  Ah... a-heh... I should probably not get carried away with the angry finger-pointing game...

Oh, and I should get back to work!

It was exciiiiiiiting!  And I'm a little surprised, 'cause it's a bookstore, but the people who go into that place, while seeming boring elsewhere (before entering, which was my key point of observation up 'til now), seem to come alive when poring through the tomes of old and new alike!  What an experience!  It was almost as good as harvesting dark power in my dark tower!  Hah!  That rhymes!  Anyway, I came across a very biased book called "The Silent Killer" that was all about Tonberries and how evil and vile they are - Blasphemous Propaganda, I say!  It almost makes me mad enough to buy it just to keep it from the public - well, maybe when I've got some money to throw around.

Anyway, Chime's silly team has released a promotional advertisement displaying their great-looking team... You know what I think of that?  I think it's Blasphemous Propaganda, that's what I say!  We'll see who's looking good a few days from now when our team obliterates them!  Hra-ha-hahhhh!

I don't know what it is, but earlier, I just wanted to punch someone - perhaps it's because I was taking my freedom for granted, and now I'm caged in here... I don't know.  It's only been a day, but it's starting to really bother me.  Maybe it's just my mindset - need to think of it more like being stuck at the top of that Dark Tower when all those BASTARDS kept trying to break in!  What the hell did they think it was, a party or something!?  Didn't all the evil MONSTERS get the point across that they weren't WELCOME!?  Rrr, rrrr, RAGE!

...hm... I seem to have busted a hole into a column... I should probably do a little better at not letting my emotions get out of control... Who knew I missed my apartment so much!?  It's on the bottom-side, so none of the accomodations are nice at all, but I feel strangely safe there, like no one's going to bother trying to rob me and stuff... Plus, it's always a bit damp and cool, and that's a plus... kind of like living in a basement, I guess.  Huh.

I think when I start my job, things will be a bit better - I feel like I've been doing nothing this whole time...

So, after a LOT of struggle, I managed to forcefully pull the Tonberry King through the barrier.  Remember all that energy I had earlier?  Yeah... that's gone.  I'm exhausted.  Well, after disabling the fire alarm trigger on the emergency exit, we shook hands - he made as if to stab me as a joke, but then really did shake my hand, and we had a laugh - and he said, "Until next time..." before moseying out.  Good for him - he's back where he belongs.  I wonder what all those supplies he got were?  None of my business, I suppose.  Well, anyway, when I fixed the mechanism on the door, I turned to go back into the mall.  It gave me NO resistance!  When I got through, I turned around and knocked on thick-air... I'm trapped here now!  AGHHH!  I guess that's what they call "Aiding and Abetting"... or something... I've never known a whole lot about the law...

At least it should only be a few more days...

Rrgh!

Blitzball practice ended a couple hours ago, and while I was pretty beat at the end of it, I'm amazingly energetic now!  Who ever thought it'd be this fun to rise to awesomeness?  I think I'm best-suited for the middle position, as I have decent shot, am small and thus can evade tackles, and am fierce on the defense.  Of course, that's with three people...  If that works for you two - Selphie and Quistis - I'll take it!  Otherwise, let me know!  I'll understand if you need me at another position... I might get ANGRY at first - but I know how to play for a team!  I wonder what our team-name is?

I'm looking forward to stepping in at Byblos Books and proving myself to Mister Sephiroth - just a couple more days now!

I saw my old aquaintance, the Tonberry King again recently - he's still in the mall, but he's been laying low - really low.  So low, it makes me think he's done something bad... Uh-oh...
Nah!!  The Tonberry King can do no wrong!  He can't get through the barrier - that should be proof enough right there!

Oh... right.  It's all in perception, isn't it?

Things are looking up for your favorite schemer, and I'm so excited, I can't wait any longer to talk about it!

I got a job at Byblos Books!  It's technically Blank's job position, but it's pretty much the same as Chime's, so it's still like taking her job!  Uwahaha!  I'm really really excited about it!  I can't wait!

Wow... It seems I actually, genuinely care about having this job!  What a surprise!  I hung around the bookstore long enough that I became truly enamored with the job... And now it's Mine!  Hurrah!

Just you wait - I'll show you all!!!
...how good an employee I am, that is!

I'm going to CRUSH Chime's team in Blitzball!  Just you wait!  In addition, I plan on taking her job!  That'll show her!  Hua-hua-huahaha!

Of course, Chime might be leaving her job (thus making it not as satisfying a takeover, but...) and I still need to join a blitzball team... I've heard that there's an all-girls team being run bySelphie and Quistis.  Selphie!  Quistis!  Please allow me to join your team!

Together, we with DESTROY our opponents!

Then, we'll show them who's really all-powerful and amazing, won't we!?  Hrahaha!

Hm...  Who am I talking to?  People at the cafe are staring... I should probably keep these thoughts in my head rather than spouting them out loud...

But it won't matter soon enough!

Seems to be getting harder to leave here rather than easier.  Guess I shouldn't have taken change from the fountain to get lunch, but I was really hungry!  I don't know... now I've gotta do something to level that out...

Maybe I can stage some heroism!  That'll fool them!

Hm...  Probably not... guess I should find some of my reserve funds while I'm home, just in case I need them or if I get stuck at the mall for the whole week.

Which would suit me, I mean, come on!

Nonetheless, I like my apartment, so I don't want to be stuck here this week - I mean, really...

So, I've been hanging out around Byblos Books.
Scoping out my new job! - just you wait!  Hahaha!

Apparently, being evil has its downsides here and there... Such as that is, I've been having trouble getting out of the mall.  I've been laying low on the 'evil' front and haveyet to establish myself as such, so I can still leave, but it's a challenge.  Good thing this happening isn't a few weeks down the line - Huahahahaha...eh.  Right, so for now, I guess I have to keep on the straight and narrow...

...like a wimp.

Nonetheless, I both like my apartment and need a job, so I need to be able to be at both places.

I wonder what Chime's up to?
Perhaps I'll find out - ha!
